Jessica Holmes is a multi-faceted news anchor and morning show personality…whether it’s LIVE breaking news, politics or pop culture, Jessica covers it all on a daily basis. Jessica anchors the KTLA morning news, LA’s #1 rated morning news show from 7-10am. She has covered breaking news both in the field and in-studio, from the Newtown tragedy to the Boston bombing and the tsunami in Japan, her work has won her 3 Emmy’s as well as 2 Golden Mic Awards.
Jessica has also reported LIVE from London for KTLA’s Emmy award winning coverage of the royal wedding, interviewed Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp on a press tour in Paris, spent a day cooking and crafting with Martha Stewart and interviewed Jermaine Jackson after the death of his brother Michael.
Jessica is also the co-host for “KTLA’s LIVE from the Red Carpet” shows at the Oscars and Prime Time Emmy Awards.
Miss Holmes joined KTLA in November of 2005 as a weathercaster for KTLA’s “Prime News at 10pm” after winning “The Audition” – a reality show-style competition held on the morning news.
She began her career in 1999 at Nickelodeon studios in Orlando, Florida as an intern, six months later that internship led to an on-camera opportunity on a brand new show “Slime time Live”. The series lasted for 4 years and remains one of Nickelodeon’s most successful LIVE action programs to date.
In 2003, Jessica moved to New York City to host Outdoor Life Network’s “Bragging Rights”, a reality game show where contestants competed in outdoor sports competitions.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jessica spent most of her childhood in sunny southwest Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television. In her free time, Jessica loves interior design and has a passion for food and cooking and spends more time than she’d like to admit, watching the Food Network.
